GAP Item of the Month Please consider donating the GAP item of the month which is listed on the home page. This item will be a welcome addition to our Food Pantry shelves. You will find drop-off boxes near the sanctuary and the church office. As always we can also use pop-top canned food, plastic spoons, forks and knives. GAP clients often ask for Bibles, so if you have one in good condition please consider donating it to GAP. Boxes for the item of the month are located in the front sanctuary narthex and outside the Fellowship Hall. There are also GAP donation boxes under the mailbox table near the Church Office. GAP Ministries is a coordinated effort of local Presbyterian and Disciples of Christ churches for service in areas of need in the Augusta-North Augusta area. In addition to the camp, GAP provides financial counseling and aid, and a food pantry. GAP volunteers help clients with basic needs, such as getting proper ID in order to apply for jobs. GAP also coordinates projects, such as providing food to youth in group counseling with the Department of Juvenile Justice and serving in the Soup Kitchen. GAP is supported by the contributions from member churches, by individual donations, and by fund-raisers, such as the annual GAP Walk for Others. |
