Covenant is part of the Interfaith Hospitality Network
Interfaith Hospitality Network of Augusta, Inc. (IHNA) is a nonprofit organization (501c3) which was founded in 1997 and opened its doors to homeless families in the Augusta area in February 1998. The community opened its arms and welcomed IHNA with overwhelming support from grants, foundations, corporations, and individuals. Currently, there are 19 host congregations. IHNA is a program dedicated to helping homeless families. About one in every four homeless people is a child. The National Interfaith Hospitality Network began over 15 years ago and has now inspired the opening of more than 101 network programs across the nation involving over 500 congregations and 50,000 volunteers.
Covenant hosts families for a week four times a year. If you would like to volunteer to provide a meal or serve as a host, please contact the office.
